Fred Westover was my friend Garner Pruitt’s Uncle Freddy and he liked to write songs. He used to send songs to me to tweak and record. This is what I came up with for San Carlos Bay.

I’ve known Garner since I was one year old. He is a great trumpet player and a great friend. Check out his website: Garner Pruitt. I sent the song, with vocals and guitar, to Garner and he added the rest.

Uncle Freddy took the song that Garner and I had recorded and made a video to show to the founder of San Carlos Bay, whom he knew, to see if they wanted to use the song for marketing tourism, and pay us some royalties. Unfortunately that didn’t happen.

White cotton beaches
Under the Mexican Sun
Barefoot in the sands
Of San Carlos Bay
Mariachi music
Under the Mexican Sun
Harmonizing with
San Carlos Bay

Mi Amor San Carlos Bay x4

Sipping margaritas
Under the palapa shade
Comer ceviche
From San Carlos Bay
I am a gringo
Under the Mexican Sun
Soy un amigo de
San Carlos Bay

Mi Amor San Carlos Bay x4

They call it Ol Sol
The Mexican Sun
It's good for the soul
San Carlos Bay
The clear blue water
Calls your return to the sea
Es muy bonita
San Carlos Bay

Mi Amor San Carlos Bay x4
