There’s a Place That I Go

The song tells the story so I won’t go into that, but I will say, I hadn’t been to that place in a while, until this years birthday bash in April, and I really needed my battery recharged.

It was a blast sitting around the fire, playing and singing with friends and family, which brought up some good memories. One particular memory was a night where my brother and I were playing guitars and a friend was playing either the djembe drum, or the guitar, and Dave was going back and forth between the harmonica and rapping about his truck Irene; I wrote a song about her. The rap was awesome, great lyrics about some of the escapades of Irene. We called it, Chumbilly Rap. I wish we had a recording of that.

There's a place that I know, there's a place that I go
When my spirit's feeling low.
There's a place that I know, there's a place that I go
When my spirit's feeling low.

Chorus:
It's a place of peace and harmony
It's a place that I know. It's a place that I go X2

I'm going to the Chumstick Valley
It's just east of the pass
I'm going to the Chumstick Valley
For the annual birthday bash

I'm going to the Chumstick Valley
The valley of many epiphany
I'm going to the Chumstick Valley
To recharge my battery

Chorus:

I'm going to the Chumstick Valley
Where I've never felt any higher
I'm going to the Chumstick Valley
Where we sing and play round the fire

I'm going to the Chumstick Valley
To sing a brand new song
I'm going to the Chumstick Valley
To get my chumbilly on

Chorus:
