Something To Sing About

My wife, Donna, and I went to the 2023 Songwriters In Seattle picnic where each songwriter got to play two songs. We got there fashionably late and artists had already signed up on the list to play, but nobody had put their name first, second or third, so I signed up to perform first. I was the opening act. I played “John Prine was a Friend of Mine” and this song, “Something To Sing About”.

Donna recorded me on stage but I wasn’t happy with my voice so I’m not going to share it here, but here is a recording I did before the picnic.

Oh yeah, you can hear Donna putting the key in the door and opening it at the end of the recording, but I had already done so many takes, I decided to stick with this one.
